Rafi Nelson Village

Beyond the edges of stone mountains, steamy sand meets the wave of fresh water and out of nowhere a group of cabins appears. In the year 1976, the legendary holiday village in Taba was run by Rafi Nelson. Nelson personified to Israeli society back then everything that the american sixties brought to the world: sex, drugs and the bohemian way of life. The small amount of photos taken by Rudi there suggests that they were taken during a private vacation. We uploaded some more of that series to our web-gallery, including a rare portrait of Nelson himself!
